Remote Assistance is a feature of Windows XP that allows someone
(like the Computer Doctor) to take control of your computer using an internet
connection, so that they can see your problem and converse with you while this is going on.

To check whether you have this facility switched on,
right-click on My Computer, then left-click on Properties,
then click on the Remote tab and if the check box is clear, click in it to set it.
